Inspect the Bike Before, Shifting.
Before ship day, take some time to give the motorcycle a thorough inspection. Look for dents, scratches and other damages and list them. If the motorcycle has been sitting in the garage for a while, make sure to wash it clean from dirt and other deposits. Damages that went unnoticed may be brought to light just by giving the bike a simple wash.
When the motorcycle hauler arrives to pick up the bike they will also inspect the condition of the bike. The customer will receive a signed copy of the motorcycle inspection report on the day of pickup and delivery. They will also extend the offer to purchase insurance incase damages should occur while the motorcycle is in transit. In most cases, the customer will end up paying a deductible if damages happen.
Other Tasks to Complete Before Transportation.
- If the motorcycle has an alarm make sure it is turned off.
- Check to be sure the gas is no higher than ¼ tank.
- Remove loose objects that can break or damage the bike.
By completing a few tasks the customer can gain some peace of mind while the bike is in transit. After the bike is delivered to Wheeling, the motorcycle will be in perfect condition and ready to ride.
