The Atlanta Recruiting Battalion has a long history of serving this great country and the Army by recruiting the best and brightest from across the country.

The Atlanta Recruiting Battalion, which began as a local administrative office of the Third United States Army's Recruiting Service, was in charge of recruiting stations in Georgia's northern two-thirds. Atlanta Recruiting Main Station was its official name (RMS).

Moving a car to this station is rather simple for an officer who is familiar with the area. Not everyone, however, has ever shipped a vehicle. That is why A-1 Auto Transport has put together this guide to make the procedure go more smoothly.

Shipping to a Base in the CONUS Area – ONLY IF BASE IS INSIDE THE STATES

USAREC Atlanta Battalion is located in the US, therefore, the government is unlikely to cover the cost of moving vehicles owned by officers stationed at the station. Only posts outside of the United States are covered by the military.

There are, of course, exceptions that may benefit a select few officials. It's better to take your PCS and speak with your transportation officer about your eligibility for such an exception.

Military Car Shipping

Take images of every part of the car, preferably with a camera, as you go through it.
Check for cracks in the glass and talk to your mechanic about how to remedy them.

Military Motorcycle Shipping

The station to which you have been assigned is located in Atlanta, on US soil.

You must find a way to transport your motorcycle to the station. It is possible to ride it to the station, but this is not a realistic alternative unless you are already near the station.

Notify the shipping company if there are multiple vehicles to move. For this type of thing, there are generally discounts. You can also take advantage of the military discount.

You must show that you own the bike or have permission from the owner to ship it to the station.
