Military Car Transport

Shipping a vehicle to USAG Bavaria will be stressful but with a little planning and proper execution, it can be a smooth process.

The first thing to note is that you shouldn’t bear the cost of hauling your vehicle to the USAG, Bavaria because it is outside the continental area of the United States. The government will do that. However, verify your legibility for this benefit.

• Take out the battery or disconnect it to reduce the discharge rate.

Military Motorcycle Hauling

You will be eligible to ship a single vehicle under the sponsorship of the US government. This means that you ship either a vehicle or a motorcycle and not both. If your motorcycle is your only vehicle, then you are eligible for assistance.

If you want to ship a car and a motorcycle, you will have to bear the cost of shipping one of them. If it is the motorcycle, know that you can make separate arrangements to get the bike to the garrison.

For a motorcycle that is yours, you will need proof of ownership. If it is leased, you will need a written and signed permit stating that the owner is alright with you taking the bike to Bavaria.

Preparing your motorbike for Shipment

Before you submit your bike at the port and head to the airport, take a good look at the motorbike.

• Document any faults or damage currently on the bike. Including marks, scratches, and dings.
• Take the petrol out of the motorcycle to reduce the chances of starting a fire.
