Regulations for Importing.
Because there are rules and regulations of the Ministry of Transport and Communications to follow, you must provide the correct amount of paperwork, including any documents, to provide proof of your identity. You will need to bring:
- Clear vehicle title.
- Current and valid passport/
- International Driver's License.
- Proof of insurance.
- Bill of Lading.
- Details of the purchase invoice.
You need to know the entry tax and when the auto has to be registered as per the specific laws, which include:
- Register with the local police within 2 days of import.
- Receipt from paying entry tax that is no more than 14.5% but can be more if the value of your vehicle is higher.
- The government issued a license for importing.
Macedonia is not easily accessible by sea so that you will be directed to the Port of Thessaloniki in Greece. Once it has cleared the Macedonia Customs Administration at this port, you must drive across Tetovo or hire a service to deliver it when it's ready to drive away from Greece.
