Uzbekistan is a landlocked country and this is something that you need to account for – the vehicles stretch through plains and mountains and it’s easy to commute in it. You need to get your vehicle shipped to Bandar Abbas in Iran or in Mumbai in India and driven to Bukhara. As per the current legislation of the country, the owner of the vehicle has to be present to pick it up upon arrival. However, if you can’t be present, you need to authorize a representative. A-1 Auto Transport is here to help. You can sign an authorization letter and we will take care of everything.

Transportation of Your Car from the USA
You need to register yourself as an importer as per the laws introduced in 2010 in Uzbekistan. The country has a rugged terrain of mountains, vast valleys and it’s a landlocked country. There are quite a few things that you have to consider but A1 Auto Transport will handle it easily. For cars which have up to 1000cc of the engine, the amount that you have to pay is 20% + $1.8 for every additional cc. For cars with engine capacity of 1000cc to 1500cc, you need to pay 30% +$2. For cars between the engine capacity of 1500cc and 3000cc, it is 30% + $2.5 per cc. However, if the engine capacity is over 3000cc you need to pay 40% + $3 per cc. These are the taxes that you have to consider when you start the process of import.
Shipping Methods
The first available shipping method is Roll-on/Roll-off – or RORO as most call it. This is the cheapest way to ship using cargo freight ships. However, there are some limitations and restrictions that have to be considered before loading it on the ship. You have to steam clean your car, remove air conditioning gases, keep only ¼ gas tank and make sure there are no personal belongings.
The second available method is container shipping – it’s far more convenient but a lot more expensive as well. Yet, a lot of people prefer it for the added security and protection – this is definitely something to consider. You will need to pack and secure your car along with other personal belongings (if there are any) within twenty feet or forty feet metal containers. These are sealed and loaded onto the ship.
