Car Shipping Brno
Being the second largest city in the Czech Republic, Brno is also the historical capital of the Margaviate of Moravia. It is the administrative center of the Region of South Moravia and it forms a separate district. As Czech Republic is a part of the European Union, it holds the same standards for vehicle import. However, when you are importing from USA there are still procedures that you would have to take care of.
You will need your car to meet roadworthiness inspection set forth by the Czech Republic. The emission standard is one of the aspects you need to resolve as most of the U.S made vehicles requires technical modifications to clear EU standards for emissions. This could be rather costly and you should definitely determine whether it is worth making the required changes to meet those standards.

Inspections.
The vehicle also has to be properly inspected in order to determine that the technicalities are by the book – brakes, tires, bumpers, blinker and engine and everything that you can actually think of. This entire process is rather lengthy and it could easily take up to a month and it may cost about 15,000 CZK before the import taxes. This is why most people prefer to sell the car in their home country and simply purchase a new one in the Republic. It should be noted that for older vehicle there is an additional ecological and environment-tax of 10,000 CZK.
Different duties and Taxes.
As per the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic, you are going to be charged with a customs duty of about 10% of the market value of the car and 19% VAT. This needs to be paid prior to importing the car. If you import it from within the EU, there is no customs tax and the VAT is going to be the difference between the countries. If you have used and owned the car for more than a year abroad and used for 6 months prior to the import, there are no import duties or VAT applicable. This is because it is going to be considered as part of your personal possessions.

Roll on/Roll Off shipping is a method for transportation with which the cars are driven on the deck and secured on the deck. The vessels are property equipped with ramps to drive on and off the vehicles. This is probably the best way to go if you want to transport only the car as no personal items can be kept.
The next method is container shipping. The vehicle is shipped in a large container and is popular because you can ship other personal belongings along with the vehicle. This is quite convenient if you have a lot of luggage to transport. The containers come in different sizes most commonly in 20ft or 40ft and you can share it with another person.
