Should I use door to door or terminal to terminal?
Once you have decided on hiring a professional to transport the vehicle, you will then need to decide whether you want to use door to door or ship via a terminal. Door to door is the fastest way to have a car shipped and is also the most convenient as the car can be picked up from your address or from a nearby location. Terminal to terminal can cost less, but it is a riskier way to ship a car. The car will need to be taken to a shipping terminal and then a carrier will pick it up at the terminal. Terminals can often be unmanned and have no lighting which could put the car at risk for vandalism or theft. Terminal to terminal is usually only recommended if the vehicle owner lives in a rural area and a truck cannot deliver to the area. For safety, it is usually best to ship door to door when possible.
