How To Ship Your Panoz
Are you looking to ship your Panoz domestically or internationally? Here are a few factors you should have in mind when looking for a reliable auto transport company for the job. Shipping any car long distance is a very worrisome idea, and one will likely have questions over the whole process. Luckily, our representatives will always be on hand to make sure the car shipping process goes smoothly. Here are a few answers to some of clients’ biggest worries.
Many moving processes are often planned well in advance. Car transport being one of the most important, many find themselves thinking about advance booing. So how long before the shipment date is it ideal to book? Whether interstate, cross, country or overseas, the most ideal time to set up an order is two weeks in advance. Granted, we can sometimes handle orders fast within two or three days of the set up. However, it is safe to book not more than a month and not less than two weeks in advance.
Open Or Enclosed Carriers?
The decision to ship one’s car enclosed or open is another popular question. Strictly speaking, there is no better option between the two. Many worry about the open carriers, but it has been proven that they are completely safe, with about 97 percent of all the vehicle shipments always going open trailer. Still, even with that in mind, when shipping a luxury car or a collector’s item, many of which cost infinitely more than the typical automobile, then by all means go closed. The closed carriers often only carry the one vehicle, and are between 33 and 50 percent more expensive, naturally.
Deposit
Another common question is whether or not to pay a deposit. Regardless of the company rates, it is always a god idea to pay a deposit. Technically, without paying a deposit, the auto transport company is not really hired. It is much easier for a company that does not collect deposits to wiggle out of any responsibility to the client. Companies that collect deposits, on the other hand, recognize the fact that the client places faith in them, and will work hard to perform to their best, otherwise they will lose the deposit, business and their reputation. Regardless of the prices, do not engage with a company that does not collect deposits as that is a grey area.
How Much Time Does It Take
After placing an order, most customer questions point to how long it will take for their vehicle to be picked up. Majority of the orders our company handles are done within a week. We can do door-to-door pick-ups or terminal pick up, depending on the logistics and the preferences of the client. Our shipping schedules are regular, and almost half of our shipments happen within a few days. Naturally, the interstate shipments will take a shorter time than the coast to coast or international shipments. When moving to a new destination, in order to avoid the inconvenience of having to wait on one’s car, we advise our clients to give themselves up to a week to ship their vehicles before they move out.
