We’ve been focusing a lot lately on the Sturgis 2013 Motorcycle Rally this summer, but there are plenty of other rides and rallies to sate your appetite until August. Here’s a list of the top Motorcycle events on my calendar.
Chocolate Thunder Motorcycle Run – Paradise, CA
Benefitting local youth organizations, the Chocolate Thunder Motorcyle Ride has the added appeal of being located in beautiful California. We’ll be taking a leisurely ride from Paradise on up to Scotty’s Boat Landing in Chico. The rider’s fee includes barbeque, cash prizes, a raffle, and plenty of chocolate, so come out on and support a great cause while soaking up some sun.
National Armed Forces FreedomRide – Little, CO
If California isn’t your cup of tea, the National Armed Forces FreedomRide may be a good substitute. Bikers across the nation gather to support all of the Armed Forces Veterans of War, POW, MIA, KIDA, WIA and all active military. The ride will start in Littleton at the Platte River Bar & Grill, eventually making our way up around Deer Creek and finally stopping at Fort Logan National Cemetery to pay our respects.
15th Annual Thunder Beach Spring Motorcycle Rally – Panama City Beach, FL
For you East Coasters, I recommend circling the Thunder Beach Spring Motorcycle Rally on your calendars. You won’t find a motorcycle event more packed with events than this. From Karaoke nights to stunt teams to VIP meet-and-greets, there is something for everyone at Thunder Beach. Make sure you dedicate a couple days to this rally because you’re going to need it.
Party in the Pines – Longview, TX
Finally, for those in the South that don’t want to travel out to Florida, check out the Party in the Pines at the end of May. The rally includes a Memorial Parade, Joker Run, a bike rodeo, shows, and plenty of music and games.
