McConnell AFB Auto Shipping Services by A-1 Auto Transport
McConnell AFB is in Wichita, Kansas, about three hours north of Oklahoma City and three hours southwest of Kansas City, Missouri.
McConnell AFB is a global airlift and air refueling center for the United States Air Forces, but it began as the local Wichita Municipal Airport. The 22nd Air Refueling Wing of Air Mobility Command serves as the host unit at McConnell AFB. The 22nd's principal purpose is to provide air refueling operations anywhere in the world in support of a variety of missions and goals, including humanitarian and contingency missions. Many missions would work differently and probably in a more limited manner without air refueling support; the role at McConnell AFB is an important aspect of modern US military operations.
