Luke AFB Auto Shipping Services by A-1 Auto Transport
The Luke Air Force Base, or Luke AFB, is located in Maricopa County, Arizona. Specifically, just 7 miles west of Glendale and 15 miles west of Phoenix. This base is home to the 56th Fighter Wing, the largest in the world.
If you are a service member in need of hauling but aren’t sure how to go about it, you have come to the right place.
Shipping to a Base in the CONUS Area
Since the Luke Air Force is located within the United States, CONUS area, it’s unlikely that the move will be covered by the government. This is mostly done for shipments to bases in OCONUS areas.
Having said that, you can still talk to the officer at your current base to see if there are any exceptions that you qualify for. There are some circumstances in which the government does pay for CONUS shipments. Once you have determined if you are covered or not, get in touch with a company to continue with the process.

Military Moving
Because Luke AFB is located in the United States, the government expects all posted officers to make preparations for their personal belongings. This includes automobiles. You do not, however, need to be concerned. You can do it if you plan.
There's a good probability you'll have to pay for your hauling. Some policemen try to save money by driving to their new assignment. They may not be able to make it to their station on time. Choosing a mover is a wonderful choice in this case.
POVs may be governed by laws at the station. Get to know the laws because they may have an impact on the type of vehicle you can bring.
- Documentation will be provided.
- Document form is an example of a document you'll utilize.
- Vehicle registration and proof of ownership.
- A lender's permission to operate it at the air station if the vehicle is leased.
- A government-issued form of identity that is valid.
Preparing for Shipment
You can't simply leave your automobile at the bus stop. It's up to you to get it ready to move.
- Checking the tire pressure and ensuring it is appropriate, as well as checking for leaks are all items to consider.
- Take photos of any dings, scratches, or designs. It is preferable if you also take photographs.
Military Motorcycle
Because you'll be moving to a base in the United States, the government is unlikely to cover the cost of the delivery. Under certain conditions, though, you may be qualified for such assistance. Talk to your boss about it.
You could feel compelled to ride your bike where you've been assigned. In principle, this will lower the cost of bringing it there. In practice, you may not be able to make it to the base on time. Using a company is the best solution.
When you wish to haul, make sure you have your proof of ownership and your military ID on hand.
Preparing for Shipment
If you want to haul in perfect condition, you'll need to organize a few things.
- Have it inspected and repaired by a mechanic.
- Unplug or remove the battery.
