Little Rock AFB Auto Shipping Services by A-1 Auto Transport
Little Rock Air Force Base is located in Jacksonville, Arkansas. There are 13,893 people stationed in the base, of which 6,995 are members of the military. The rest are civilians (1,316) and family members (5,582). The base is pretty closed to Little Rock Arkansas, located about 17 miles north and east of it.
There's no reason to be concerned if your PCS orders you to Little Rock and you have a vehicle. We may assist you with transferring your POV to the army post.
Shipping to a Base in the CONUS Area
Because Little Rock AFB is in the United States, the government will not be responsible for transporting your car to the base. You will be responsible for transporting yourself to the base and reporting on time.
Certain groups of military officers are still sponsored to bases in the CONUS, but only under specified conditions. Bring your PCS to your transportation officer to see whether you qualify for a special exemption.
Make arrangements for your car or automobiles to be sent by a third party. To effectively plan your relocation, you must begin moving as soon as feasible.

Military Car Shipping
With careful preparation and swift action, you can make transporting your vehicle to the army station a breeze.
There are exceptions to the general norm of not sponsoring your transportation to a base within the United States. Check to see whether you qualify for an exemption.
Various vehicles may be subject to different regulations at Little Rock AFB. Check the guidelines with your transportation officer to verify if your car is allowed on base.
You'll need to fill out certain paperwork and send copies of relevant papers once this is confirmed.
- If you are qualified for an exemption, you will receive an Exemption letter in addition to your PCS.
- Proof of car ownership • Forms of identity issued by the United States government
- A copy of the leasing agreement, as well as a permission to drive the car to the station. If the car is rented, this is relevant.
Preparing your car for Shipment
A few things must be done to prepare an automobile for shipping. They include the following:
- Drain the gasoline from the fuel tank. Allow no more than a quarter of the tank's capacity to remain in the vehicle.
- Disconnect any nitrous canisters in the car.
Military Motorcycle Shipping
Because your POV shipping may not be covered by the government, you will have to make your own arrangements. If you own a vehicle and a motorcycle, you will have to pay for both, which would be costly.
You can arrange for both to be transported at the same time. A single POV conveyance will be counted if you are simply moving a bike. A bike will cost less to transport than a vehicle.
You must supply a copy of your proof of ownership if you own the motorcycle being sent. You'll need to file an agreement allowing you to ship it to Fort Rucker if it isn't yours. You'll also need to show documentation of any exemptions you're entitled to.
Preparing your motorcycle for Shipment
- Draining all of the gasoline from the gas tank is one of the first steps in preparing your bike for shipping.
- Check that the bike's registration paperwork is in good condition.
